Still waiting for next week to come…ya, waiting for my sweet dearly hubby to come..:)

Now, I’m staying with my 2 bro’s n sister…Believe it or not, I’m sleeping with my sister cuz I don’t want to sleep alone. Everyday, I woke up around 6.10am…and every morning I’ll start my day by praying…Now is Dec and next month will be year 2010. What I’ve accomplished this year?

Of course, this year I got married..and that was the most memorable and happiest event that I will never forget…and the 2nd thing is, I’ll be a mom soon…Thanks God. This is an amazing and priceless gift that we ever had…My husband is so happy and so do I..:)

Mm..I’ve started pursuing my study tin UMS. What a challenging mission to achieved…with my recent unwell condition together with the work at office, it’s not an easy task to do. Paying the education’s fee by our own doubled the challenge. I hope, I can go through with this…It’s my dream to pursue my study. I want to be a good lecturer who is worthy to convey what ever knowledge I have to my students. Now, I’m feeling like I’m still very young in this profession even though I’ve spent almost 7 years in this field…I don’t want to be the same level as my student…I feel pity to them. Of course, my experienced had contributed to my knowledge, but I’m not satisfied because people are not looking at your experiences but they’ll judge you through your qualification. Am I right?

Daily, you still have 3 and half years to go…Go for it…!!

My new experience..

Wah…what a lazy blogger...I didn’t update my blog for almost 2 months..I’ve been so busy lately, sitting my final exam in ums. My last paper was yesterday…everything went smooth except for yesterday..it was a disaster…huhu.. But it was pass.. I don’t want to think about it anymore…
Mm..These few weeks, I’m feeling so uncomfortable…I don’t have the appetite to eat…I’m losing out my weight. Previously, my weight was 45kg now go down to 42kg..I hope I can handle this. Apart from that, I’m so happy actually…When I know about the good news…I was so happy…I don’t know how to express it..The first person I told..of course my hubby..:) We were extremely happy…Mm…but the challenge is so though…go through with this alone…without being staying with my hubby make me feel very sick and wanna cry…actually I did.. But, thanks to God…I’ve manage to go through this for the first 3 months…with the help of my bro and sis. Thanks to them for cooking for me…
Today is my 2nd appointment with the doctor..I hope everything will be ok…but I’m afraid of injection…Gosh..I hate that..It’s very painful…huhu…
So, what’s our planning for the coming xmas this dec? Previously, we planned to celebrate xmas in Papar and then celebrate new year in my ‘kampung’. However, there was a slight change at last moment..My sis in law had delivered baby boy on the 30th of Nov last few days..so they planned to celebrate the full moon of their baby this coming new year..That’s why, we exchange the schedule…I’m okay with that..as long as I can go back to my hometown…If I’m not mistaken, my last visit to my kampung was about 3 months ago..I couldn’t go back frequently because I always have class on weekend…hopefully I can ease my pain of missing my kampung and my mom during xmas…
Ok..that’s all for now..

Dinner during my bday...

We went to Hornbil a famous steamboat restaurant in Kuching to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant is famous because you can take as much as you can for the raw meats and vegetables including mushrooms and cook it by yourself on top of your table because all the equipments has been provided there for you and not merely the soup. All the ingredients were there, salt, sauce, ketchup, chilies, oyster etc and there were varieties of pre-ready raw meats for you to choose and just cook it. It will only cost you RM18 per person. The funny thing was that when I accidentally put all the raw meats into the soup. My husband was quite shocked and says, “That’s not for the soup. I reminded you to put these into it not that one”…(pointing at the fish balls and mushrooms) I was so embarrassed and felt offended. As usual I am quite sensitive, I was about to cry, fortunately, I manage to control my feeling and accepted that it was my fault. I don’t want to ruin our dinner. The dinner was great…it was our first dinner together celebrating my birthday after we have known each other closely until we got married.

Mm...thanks to my hubby..

Hi..

What a tiring day!!! I am in Kuching now…We went to shopping the whole day. I was so happy and touched when my hubby bought for me a few items with the reason that my birthday is coming up. Mm..he said that it’s okay to overspend once in blue moon…if he got extra money…coincidently, he just got his claim and he’s the one who offered to buy me those items including one DVD player…

He’s actually wanted to buy a wardrobe for himself but we couldn’t make it as we tried to find the single and simple one with affordable price. Mm…finally, we ended up in shopping mall looking for all my ‘things’…

Compared to KK, I was quite wondered why there was a traffic jam on Saturday here in Kuching? We were caught in traffic jam a few times. The situation was getting even worst when it was raining heavily in the evening. I was pissed off by the attitude of some drivers who like to honk on the road. It’s only my fourth day here and almost every day I heard the honk. It’s made me love my KK town even more which I found very seldom to hear those irritating honk except for the friendly one…

Ok…it’s time to stop for a while…will update again next time…

Huhu...

Wah…

It has been almost a week I cracked my brain to finish my C++ assignment. The question was very simple and superficially looks easy but when I started to do it, oh my God…I’ve spent almost every night just to find out the solution. I’ve learnt this subject once or to be specific, 7 years ago and I never touch this ever since. It’s our first assignment, it’s so hard for me to solve the problem given…However, by doing, and completing that assignment, I’ve learnt a lot. Mmm…My 1st quiz marks was not so impressive. I only manage to get 15 out of 30. What an awful marks. However, I’ll try to better after this. There will be a few presentations after this Raya holiday…I know, I’ll be very busy after this.

I missed to deliver my speech in PKKTMC training meeting. I wish to achieve my ACB during this term…at least I want to contribute 1 goal to our club this term. Last time when I was the president, I didn’t contribute even 1 goal. Really regretting that part!!
Good news is, today around 9pm…I’ll meet my husband in Kuching. I’ve applied for 5 days leave and plus with the Hari Raya Holiday, wah…I’ll spend about 12 days with my hubby. I’m so happy!!! I want to celebrate my birthday with him…but my annual leave is 4 days left…I keep it for my Xmas holiday. I’ve checked the calendar and if I’m not mistaken, Xmas day is fall on Monday, so there’ll be 4 days left in a week for me to make use of my annual leave…

Next week I’ll be stepping to another level of age…Pondering at the number (I mean my age..huhu), still couldn’t accept that fact that I am that ‘old’ already. Whatever it is, my goal is to complete my Degree and if possible I want to be the best student in my class….iffff possible…haha, It’s not as simple as eating a slice of cake but it claims determination, effort, perseverance, patience, and many more…so to myself…ALL THE BEST!!!:)

Humorous and Evaluation Speech Contest 2009

It's all about contest again.......

The contest was held in Ahmad Nifsu Theaterete, UMS. There were 2 representatives from our club which were very familiar to me none other that, Joan Wang Yee Juen and her husband Jason. Their performance was marvelous and fantastic. I could see how they progress so fast. When I witnessed Joan’s presentation, I was amazed; she looks like a professional speaker. I almost couldn’t discern her nervousness while presenting. Mm…I’ve been experienced that situation before, I’ve joined the previous contest, however, I noticed that, this year contest was so challenging. There were many great participants representing their club. Almost all of them have shown their skills as a speaker and most importantly, they have proven to the audience how Toastmasters thought them…

I also like very much how Jason presented his evaluation. All this while in our regular training meeting, I seldom saw him presenting the evaluation so effective and relax without the ‘ahhs’, ‘urm’…but during the contest, the evaluation was perfectly presented almost without that ‘ahhs’, ‘urm’, etc. Congratulation!!! You deserve to win trophy.

Well, I’ll try to contest next year…I hope I can ready for that…huhu…

It could be some of the sad chapters in my life...

Today, I woke up around 6.30am…I feel so tired and still sleepy. I called my hubby and wake him up…From his voice; I could clearly recognize that he has just waked up and still lazy to get up from the bed. Still thinking about ‘something’ happened a few days ago. I tried to forget it but my heart was unsettled. I know, time will heal…some more, may be for a few persons out there would say... "huh…it’s not a big deal if compared with other cases...” However, for me...it’s only a beginning…if I take it so easy, I won’t shocked if the worst could happen later on…who knows…Only God... I understood that, we can’t blame one particular side only…yes, but actually it could be avoided if we say ‘NO’ to anything that leading us to those similar cases at the first place…as the famous saying ‘preventing is better than to cure’…just say ‘NO’ and we could make a different…mm…let the time heal…

I went through the whole day by attending a timetable course, which I think was quite boring. Why did I say like that? The instructor kept on speaking continuously in front and told us to listen and do nothing. We sat there for almost 4 hours listening to his lectures and half an hour before lunchtime, he asked us create our own timetable. What I see is that, we do not have enough time to do the practical. The time was limited and the time table that we’re about to create was totally different from the examples that he has given; If only that he passed the CD to us and installed the time table software a little bit earlier. We will have much time to do the practical and in the meantime, we could ask him questions if any. Furthermore, we cannot remember the basic steps because he did not allowed us to switch on our notebook. I understood that what he is trying to do was good…he wanted us to focus more on his lectures but for me, he failed to manage the time…

Is it acceptable?

Mm..don't know what to say.. I felt like I'm not important to someone...Oh dear...
God please help me to handle this...

SMS-My humorous speech(MBJ speech as well)

This is a CAT and this is FISH. Now tell me, who likes CATs? And who likes FISH? Who doesn’t like CAT? Good! I hate cats maybe because of their extremely pampered habit. I don’t have any chemistry relationship with cats. May be because I am a pampered girl too that’s why I can’t get along with them. Positive and positive can’t mix up, otherwise it will repel one another. Anyway, I like fish. Even though I don’t have any fish in my house , I do understand their feelings. Compared to cats, if fish get mad or angry, they can’t show it off to people. They’re very low profile. They only can wait to be feed (fed) and never sleep. But if cats get bored or angry, they will scratch your sofa, table, and even you. But if they want something, they will cat walk towards you and start meowing...That’s why I hate cats…

Ladies and gentlemen, fellow toastmasters, good evening…

Sometimes as a human being, we can’t run away from encountering the same situation just like a fish does. Sometime, you want to express your emotion or you want to say something but you fail because of certain circumstances. May be at home, workplace or in restaurants You really want to shout to that person but he or she couldn’t hear you. For me, I often experience that situation while driving…Just imagine, the car is like an aquarium and people inside it are just like fish. No matter how loud you want to shout, no body could hear you unless you open the window and shout directly to the person in another car but make sure they open their window too. It’s not that easy…huh…furthermore, the other car keep on honking you. You became pissed off but couldn’t show it to the person…how you’re going to solve this? I was thinking on how nice it will be if my car can speak out. So next time when somebody keeps on honking me, my car will shout, “SHUT UP!” But, sound ridiculous…If I propose this to the Prime Minister, I believe it will be rejected. So I keep on thinking, thinking again until one day…

This happened when I wanted to make a U-turn. I was really tired of queuing up and pressing the clutch because I was caught in a traffic jam. Suddenly, I saw from my right side mirror one blue car moving fast to overtake me. I was so angry. I’ve been waiting for my turn for so long and that car was simply trying to make a short cut. No way!!! I didn’t give chance and drove even closer to the car in front of me. But the car was stubborn and didnt want to surrender. I looked at him but he pretended to be so serious so that I’ll give way. I didn’t care, I moved forward even closer, thinking he will give up, but he passed over me and even overtook the car in front of me. I was so angry but I couldn’t express it to that person. At the moment, this idea popped up in my mind. I want to invent ‘SMS’ which stand for Super Multipurpose Screen and the main function of this SMS is to display words and emotion that can be seen from the other cars.

This is how AMSD can help. Imagine you’re driving on the right lane with an appropriate speed. Suddenly, when you look at the rear mirror you saw a DMAX tailing you in a very close position. Have you ever done this to others? Or have someone done like this to you? If you’re the victim, I believe you’ll just ignore the car and continue moving on or you’ll switch to the other lane like I always do. But, if I have SMS, I’ll just switch on the button and the screen will appear at my rear window and display these words and emotion.

“HEI!!! KEEP THE CORRECT DISTANCE FROM ME? I’M PAYING THE ROADTAX TOO!”

I’m sure the car will slow down a little bit and realize that he his wrong and if the car still want to overtake me, they can use the other lane. Why? I’m driving with the maximum speed allowed by JPJ. So, they can’t blame me either because in this particular case, they’re wrong by driving faster than me.

Second situation is, imagine you’re in a hurry and now you’re on the right lane. So in contrast with the 1st situation, now you’re driving at the back and the car in front of you is damn slow may be around 50 km/h to 60 km/h. Sometimes, even though you highlight the car, the car will just ignore you and continue on driving with that slow irritating speed. May be, they think that you’re just showing off. So, you need to make them understand that you’re really in hurry. If I have an SMS I’ll highlight the car and display my AMSD with these words written backward.“EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME! I AM IN A HURRY”If the driver still ignores you and driving even slower, I’ll overtake him/her using the left lane. In the meantime, my SMS will display these words and emotion. “NEXT TIME, DON’T DRIVE YOUR CAR. JUST WALK!! EVEN a TURTLE is FASTER THAN YOU, HUH!!”

SMS can also be used for entertaining purposes. Imagine this 3rd situation, while you’re driving steadily suddenly you saw a sporty car beside you which is driven by a handsome man or a beautiful lady. Just switch on your SMS and display these words. But it depends, you can change it according to your wish…“WOW! NICE CAR!!! CALL ME, 013-0001111 (“,)” (Strictly prohibited to those who had married)

Ladies and gentlemen, fellow toastmasters,

SMS is only my illusion. If SMS does really exist, they will be War of Words on the road. We don’t need that thing if we have courtesy on the road and not selfish while driving. We have rules and law to be followed and not simply driving like ghost. Remember, drive carefully…you can make a different. Back to your Toastmaster of the Evening.

UMS...another new chapter of my life..

I am very happy as I'm going to further my study in UMS. I hope the course I'd chosen is not that hard. I am sure, I'll do until the best of my ability to graduate with flying colors. To my beloved husband, thank you dear for your support..:) and your sacrifice..I love you...

3D Modelling Course

Yahoooo.....

I know how to draw a 3D objects now. Recently, we went to 3D Modelling Course. I like this course very much. However, these skills need to practice frequently...otherwise, I can be easily forgoten the techniques..Thanks to our lecture Mr. Wee..

The course was held at SUMAI HOTEL, K.TERENGGANU...the hotel was not bad...however the food were more on meat evryday and it was very rare to have fish..but, overall...I'll give 4 stars for the hotel and 5 stars for the course we attended...:)

ULAT?!?

Ulat? What is that? A kind of worm? Errryerr...

If you're an updated person, most probably you know about this term 'ulat'. I have seen the TV3 bulletin few months ago and that's how I know about this 'ulat'.

'Ulat' is a name given to those illegal driver who tend to wait for a 'victim' (anyone especially those who're new to KLIA) at any of the arrival gates at KLIA and offered a transportation service just like how the legal taxi drivers does. However, they'll ask for extra fares if you have no idea of the initial rates.

How could I be so sure about this?
I’ve experienced this before. After we had the ‘Senam Tari ‘competition last week (I did mentioned on my previous posting), PUO bus sent me to the KL Central. From KL Central, I bought the KLIA Express ticket. I arrived at KLIA within 15 minutes but the big problem was that I need to go to LCCT an hour before my flight departed. I have less than 15 minutes to do that. To make the things even worst, I never went to KLIA alone before, never on board with the KLIA train Express and what so ever and what more to know what was ‘ULAT’ all about. So I went to the 3rd floor, heading to the taxi parking area and that’s it, I was welcomed by the ‘ulat’. May be because of I was totally in rushed, I accepted their offer and followed the ‘ulat’ to his car. To my surprise, the car that I expected to be a taxi was a Haonda/Toyota (if I not mistaken). I was so scared and asked, “I thought you’re a taxi driver? Err..” then the driver said..”Don’t worry; I was the Sabah army before. You don’t have to worry about that. I knew what’s on your mind. It’s better for you to follow me or otherwise you need to spend RM50 if charter the cab” I didn’t speak out, just nodding my head. Luckily, the driver sent me to LCCT safely…Thank God for that. He asked RM40 for the fare. When I met my friend who was waiting for me at LCCT, actually the fare was less than that..around RM38..What to do..It’s my first experience..

SENAM TARI PUSPANITA

We WON the 1st runner up during the competition...wondering what competition was that?

Last week, we represented Politeknik for the "Senam Tari" competition which was held at Politeknik Ungku Omar under PUSPANITA club. The competition took 10 participants from other Politeknik and single participant from agency under KPTM (Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Awam).

God bless..:) The experience of dancing and exercising in front of the audience was so different. Could't help myself when I made the first mistake and it was directly headed the bad expression of our group by the audience. Fortunately, we have 10 minutes of performing and we used that remaining time to prove that we're not that bad as they're expected. We did all out after that!!

We stayed at the PUO hostel. We didn't feel really comfortable staying there, may be because of the toilet was a bit far from our doom and yet, it was so small. Nevertheless, by staying there, we had a big space to practice the dance before the competition. Thank you to PUO..

LaSt bUt nOt lEasT...

Last night, 24 June 2009 was PKKTMC final training meeting for the term 2008-2009. As a president, I have reflected on all the things that I have done for this club. I evaluated my own performance and wondered if I have given my best to this club? Looking at the goals we have achieved this term saddened my heart. We have only managed to achieve 6 out of 10 goals. I felt frustrated. This is because I felt that I personally have not contributed any goal to this club in terms of delivering speeches. If only I complete my CL or redo my CC manual speech maybe our club could maintain the previous achievement which was 7 out of 10 goals. Maybe to some people maintaining the previous goals is nothing much, but for me and for those who have worked hard to make this club running it is a big difference. There is much more to do the next term. When I was appointed to take the challenge as a president, I was a bit reluctant because I was afraid I could not make it. I felt inadequate; my knowledge about English was limited. As if I could predict the future, some of the members of this club became demoralized and did not come to the meeting ever since I took up this post. What can I do? Sometimes, some members seem to avoid me. Would I be losing all my friends just because I am quite persuasive as a President or because I am too active in Toastmaster Club?
Nevertheless;
“Being a President of this club has been a great surprise to me
Being a President, I’ve gained self-confidence in public speaking
Being a President, I’ve learned to be punctual in every meeting
Being a President, I’ve learned to be a positive leader
Being a President, I’ve learned multitasking
Being a President, I’ve learned and still learning how to accept rejection
Being a President, I’m still learning on how to be a good communicator
Being a President, I learn to improve my impromptu speech
Being a President, I learn to be patient
Above all, being a President, I know I am better than yesterday”
Thank you to Toastmasters Club for giving me such a great opportunity to learn and engage myself as a president. I’ll treasure this memorable experience. To our new President, Joan Wang Yee Juen, CC,CL, all the best to you. I believe that you can bring this club to a greater height.

Api2 Toastmaster Club Training Meeting

Last night we went to Api-Api Toastmaster Club training meeting. It was a fascinating experience as we enjoyed the session so much. The warming up session was conducted zanily. We had to pass the message using the body language we got from our fellow member on the left and continue to pass it on to the member on our right side. The last person will have to guess what the message was all about. It was so funny when everyone guessing that the answer was ‘No Smoking’ but actually the answer was ‘Cigarette on the floor’. Mmm…a very good idea! I can implement this idea in our club..:)

Another session that attracted me was the Table Topic Session. The idea of presenting the Table Topic Session by Table Topic Master was so fresh. TM Marie Loh, made the audience felt excited to answer when there were little prizes provided for those who had tried to answer.

Tonight another toastmaster training meeting will be held in my own club. I’d just prepared the materials that we are going to use. I am so tired…however, meeting have to go on. Only 4 members from our club will attend the meeting as most of them are on leave. But then, we will have another 5 guests from other club to join the meeting.

Well…that’s all for now…

A Moment to Remember

There’s no other way to express the feeling of being with you loves one after been apart for quite long period of time. It’s a wonderful feeling…

That’s the feeling I went through last week when I enjoyed my holiday with my husband. Even though he’s here for while but we managed to schedule our time fairly as we need to go to Papar, Keningau and Kundasang for honeymoon. We were so happy and cherished every moment together. We seldom meet each other and it was made me felt that every second was quickly passed by. We spent our day at Kundasang for one day. Of course, that’s not enough but I should be grateful because at least we have the opportunity to spend time together. Just both of us..:p, the day after, we went to Keningau. My mom was waiting for us to go back since last Friday.

For me, everything was run smoothly until the last two days before my hubby went back to Kuching. Mmm…it’s a normal feeling as a wife, if possible a wife wanted his husband to be with her all the time especially the PJJ/LDC relationship but from the men's perspective, they’re also wanted to spend their time with their friends. I understood that very well…I’m not a conservative type of woman but I was so sad during that time. I couldn’t bear the feeling of being neglected (even though the actual thing wasn’t like that…I guessed..), and it was exploded the next day..during the mass…For those who’re being there at the moment especially my hubby, so sorry for being so emotional. I didn’t mean it but I was hurt…I love you wholeheartedly…

Last night, we held a farewell party specially to our X-deputy director and his wife. The organizer of the party was Caroline and Minir(as far as I know). The farewell party was held at Kg. Nelayan, one of the famous restaurants in KK and it only took us 30 minutes to reach there.

How would I describe the party last night..hmm…it was a successful event. Everybody was so supportive by participating in the event. I was the MC last night. I never perform this task before (except in Toastmaster meeting) and I was not confident that I can make it. That’s why I prepared a script because getting so nervous. It’s a different environment…the place was so deafening at first and I had to speak louder so that my friends could hear my voice, but after the dance performance, everything was run smoothly. We bought the biscuits and some sweets for the game session but some of them didn’t know about it and they ate it…mm..it’s ok..it’s meant to be eaten..

My personal opinion about MR.Sahul:
He is a very strict person
He could remember your face but not your name unless you meet him frequently
He likes to observe people, especially during Majlis Perhimpunan Bulanan

Last night, I approached Mr.Sahul after the photo session and I say, “Thank you Mr.Sahul for supporting PKKTMC” then he says, “ok, no problem. Thank you, Daily”
See..He was not that bad as other people think..:)

It is not too bad and never been too late to join Toastmaster

I was surprised when Minir approached me and say, “I want to talk about something that you’ve been persuaded me to join for 2 years.” I didn’t get what he means. Then he says, “When is your next toastmaster training meeting?” “Hah? Am I dreaming? Is this a reality?” I couldn’t believe with what I heard. After kept on persuading him for almost 3 years, at last he moved on to the first step. Of course he said that it was all because of his wife’s decision. He wanted his wife to be better in communication skills and when his wife says, “Yes” then Minir came to see me, but I knew that deep inside his heart he was interested to join as well. However, the issue was when the meeting held on Thursday night. Minir said that they couldn’t come to attend the meeting during that day because their free time was on Tuesday@Wednesday.

Well, it is not too bad and never been too late to join Toastmaster. Congratulations to Minir and his wife. Both of them will be our PKKTMC members to be…:)

PKKTMC Training Meeting 21th May 2009

Ya, can't wait for tonight meeting. I don't know why, but seem like I've been addicted to this educative program..

I'll be the Toastmaster of the Evening and at the same time, I might play the role of Humor Master..I've prepared the warming up session and I hope the rest of the members will enjoy.

I am sure there will be few people coming, at least we'll have new faces despite of seeing the same faces all over again almost every meeting.

Anyway, thank you everybody for the supports. This will be the most challenging moment for me but, I realize that I've learned and improved much during this moment..(^____^)

PKKTMC-is dying

“Fellow members and guests, I was reluctant when being nominated as a president this term of 2008-2009 because I was thinking that I’m not worthy, I am not good enough, and I don’t have the confident to lead this club, to bring this club to a higher level or achievements. What if under my supervision this club turns to upside-down? What if under my leadership, this club unable to achieve targets and goals or even maintain the previous achievements? Where I am going to hide myself? But I believe…In Toastmasters; I am well educated that we’re working as a team. I accept this responsibility as a challenge and I believe that I’ll be guided and supported by our club mentors, immediate past president and none other than you as a PKKTMC members. I’m hoping that, with a strong support from you, we can achieve our target this term which is 10 out 10 goals or at least 7 out 10 goals. I do really need your cooperation, not to help me but to help yourself to go out of your comfort zone, by making a different to yourself, to be better in all aspects especially in communication skill because by helping yourself, you’re helping me to help our club for better achievements this term, definitely.”

I still remember my speech when I was installed to be a president this term. I was very passionate and can’t wait to be the captain of this ship. It was a big challenge for me but I accepted it willingly because I want to enhance my communication skill as well as to cultivate my leadership skill. Toastmaster had provided me a track to go through and now it’s up to me to follow that track because I know, I can reach the top by using that track. I’ve completed my ten projects and I should be proud of myself with that progress. There is a long journey waits ahead and I’m committed to be part of this journey until the finishing line, of course.

But, what makes me so discourage now? I was in the middle of the demoralized toastmaster club. I have low attendances almost every meeting, I had to invite those people to come even though I knew that I’ll receive a negative responds from them, I have to prepared all the materials before the meetings commence and the most important thing is to make sure the meeting is run with whatever condition I might encountered. I never assumed it was a burden for me because I understand that by doing so it will benefit me. I can’t deny that, I’m improving much on my writing for what I’ve done in Toastmaster. I’d practiced impromptu speech every week in Toastmaster meeting. But, it’s not enough, the more I learn, the more weaknesses I found in me. Mm…

Last Thursday, I could not bear my tears. I met one of the committed Toastmaster members; I expressed my feeling how sad I was. I told her about the rejections I accepted every week. I told her that how I pretended to be so tolerance and considerate person each time they said, “Sorry, I couldn’t attend. I’ve something to do tonight”. Then I’ll response, “Oh..it’s okay, see you next week then”. I bear in mind that may be she/he was truly busy this time and perhaps next week they could attend. But, the following week, I’ll encounter the same situation, same response and even same people. Oh…why it is hard for them to just tell me the truth that they’re no longer interested in joining the meeting. And I’ll quit...

That’s why I’m saying that PKKTMC is dying. And it’s hard for me to admit that it PKKTMC is dying under my leadership. It shows that I am not a good leader. I don’t have the strategies and I am not good enough. May be I’ll just conclude that, they’re choosing the wrong person this term…

Dear PKKTMC members, I am sorry. I am not a good leader. I believe that the next president could bring this club better next term...till then..

I don’t mean it, truly…:(

It was happened two days ago. As usual, it was my certainty to go back home during lunch hour, so I went to my car. From the distance, I saw there was a dog lay on the road exactly under my car and it wasn’t the fist time. Few days ago, the same dog laid there but by the time we came, the dog went away. Second time, I was thinking that the dog will surely do the same thing. After I started the engine, I waited for a while and reversed the car slowly. After that, I moved forward even slow, hoping that the dog has ran away. I looked at my right side, left side and all directions but found nothing. At the same time, I was listening to the radio so in fact I have no idea what was happening out there. So, in the thinking that the dog has ran away, I drove my car confidently. There was an instinct inside my mind urged me to look at the rear mirror and I did. To my surprise, I saw the dog was crawling with both of its back foot had injured. I was speechless and felt very guilty. My heart was full with remorse. I went back home but the injured dog was still lingering in mind. I started to cry, realizing that actually I can avoid the situation from happening. I don’t know…I was so emotional. I called my hubby, told him everything. He comforted me by saying that it was the dog’s fault for choosing the wrong place to lay on.

Yesterday, I went back home around 5 pm. I almost forgot about the dog but again I saw it right before me, laid on the road and looking at me. I was so shocked. I went to my car straight away and started the engine. I waited for a while because I want to see whether the dog still crawling or gets better. After waiting for a few minutes, the dog stood up and tried to walk. I could see how hard and painful it was by the way the dog drags its feet, tried to get up and suddenly fell down. The dog tried again slowly and finally managed to get up. I couldn’t hold my tears. Again I cried, it was my fault…huhuhu…....
Tell me what I can do to redeem my fault? The dog’s condition was touched my heart deeply. I prayed to God to protect the dog and so that it can recover as soon as possible…I really don’t mean it…truly…

Gatetailing:SMS-Super Multipurpose Screen..:)

Hello friends, do you like CAT? or FISH?
To be plain with you, I don't like CAT because of their extremely pampered habit. I don’t have any chemistry relationship with cat either. May be because I am pampered girl too that’s why can’t mix with cat. Positive and positive can’t mix up, otherwise it will resist with one another. By the way, I like fish. Even though I don’t have any fish in my house but I do understand their feeling. Compared to cat, if fish get mad or angry, they can’t show it off to people. They’re very low profile. They only can wait to be feed and never sleep. But if cat get bored or angry, they will scratch your sofa, table, and you. But if they want something, they will cat walking towards you and started to meowing...That’s why I hate cat…

Sometimes as a human being, we can’t run away from encounter the same situation just like fish does. Sometime, you want to express your emotion or you want to say something but you failed because of certain circumstances. May be at home, workplace or in restaurant? You really wanted to shout to that person but he or she couldn’t hear you. For me, I often experience that situation while driving…Just imagine, the car is like an aquarium and people inside it just like fishes. How loud you want to shout, nobody could hear you unless you open the window and shouted directly to the person in another car but make sure they open their window too. It’s not that easy…huh…furthermore, the other car keep on honking you. You became pissed off but couldn’t show it to the person…how you’re going to solve this? I was thinking on how good if my car can speak out. So next time when somebody keeps on honking me, my car will shout, “SHUT UP!” But, sound ridiculous…If I propose this to Prime Minister or Proton, I believe it will be rejected. So I kept on thinking, thinking again until one day…

This was happened many times while I want to make U-turn. I was really tired of queuing up and pressing the clutch because caught in traffic jam. Suddenly, I saw from my right side mirror one blue car moving fast to overtake me. I was so angry. I’ve been waiting my turn for so long and that car simply trying to make short cut. No way!!! I didn’t give chance and drove even closer to the car in front of me. But the car was stubborn and don’t want to surrender. I looked at him but he pretend to be so serious so that I’ll give way. I don’t care, I move forward even closer. While I thought he was given up, he passed me over and overtakes the car in front of me. I am so angry but I can’t express it to that person. At the moment, this idea popped up in my mind. I want to invent ‘SMS’ which stand for Super Multipurpose Screen’ and the main function of this SMS is to display word and emotion that can be seen from the other cars.

This is how SMS can help. Imagine you’re driving at the right lane with an appropriate speed. Suddenly, when you looked at the rear mirror you saw DMAX following you in a very close position. Have you ever done this to other? Or have you ever been done like this? If you’re the victim, I believe you’ll just ignore the car and continue moving on or you’ll switch to the other lane like I always did. But, if I have SMS, I’ll just switch on the button and the screen will appear at my rear window and displaying this words and emotion. “HEI!!! KEEP THE CORRECT DISTANCE FROM ME? I’M PAYING THE ROADTAX TOO, HUH!!!” I’m sure the car will slow down a little bit and realize that he was wrong and if the car still wanted to overtake me, they can use the other lane. Why? I’m driving with the maximum speeding which was still allowed by the JPJ. So, they can’t blame me either because in this particular case, they’re wrong by driving more than maximum speed.

Second situation is, imagine you’re in a hurry and now you’re at the right lane. So opposite from the 1st situation, now you’re driving at the back and the car in front of you was damn slow may be around 50 to 60 km/h. Sometimes, even though you’re highlighting the car, the car will just ignores you and continue on driving with that speed. May be, they think that you’re just showing off. So, you need to make them understand that you’re really in hurry. If I have SMS, I’ll highlight the car and display my SMS with these words written backward. “EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME! I AM IN A HURRY” If the driver still ignores me and driving even slow, I’ll overtake him/her using the left lane. In the meantime, my SMS will display these words and emotion. “NEXT TIME, DON’T DRIVE YOUR CAR. JUST WALK!! EVEN TURTLE FASTER THAN YOU, HUH!!”

SMS can be used for entertaining purposes also. Imagine this 3rd situation, while you’re driving steadily suddenly you saw a sporty car beside you which is it’s driven by handsome man or beautiful lady. Just switch on your SMS and display these words. But depends, you can change it according to your will…“HI! CALL ME!!! 013-868XXXX, DAILY (“,)” Isn't that exciting?

My friends out there, whatever it is, SMS is only my illusion. If SMS does really exist, they will be War of the Word on the road. We don’t need that thing if we have courtesy on the road and not selfish while driving. We have rule and law to be followed and not simply driving like ghost. Remember, drive carefully…you can make a difference.

It was a real nightmare ever started!

When I was posted to Politeknik Johor Bahru on October 2002, there was a problem with our salary. During that time, my batch, diploma holders from Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn hadn't received a recognition from JPA and it caused us to earn below RM1000 per month for 2 years. With that amount, we manage to survive until the crisis solved in 2004. As the consequences of that, finally we got the lump sum of our salary which was almost RM25K. Can’t you imagine that? However, I’ve been cheated by my own officemate to buy a second hand car which had costs me RM17K only for the deposit. I don’t know why I was so dumb during that time. I was thinking that by doing so, I can reduce the amount to pay every month. That’s why I agreed with them. On top of that, the car seller was actually my ex-boyfriend’s brother. So, no doubt, I trusted him. I was being advised by my senior officemates to re-think about the decision because they said, it’s better to buy a brand new car compared to used car. When I think about that deeply, they were talking about the right thing so I tried to pull out my decision but the money has been invested to their family business. I had no option so I bought the car.

Fellow friends, I discovered that having your own car was a great feeling. Sometimes, you can be a king of roads..driving so fast more than 100km/hour..And that was my sweet memory with that car and it was remain within 7 months onwards. Because after being using that car for 7 months, I was transferred to Sabah a year before my confirmation as a government servant. So, I asked my brother who was in KL during that time to take care of my car before I manage to seek for a ship’s cargo. In July 2005, my car had finally reached Kota Kinabalu’s road safely. Again, I was extremely happy on that moment but it wasn’t long lasting. On November 2005, my brother met an accident while driving the car. The car was really damaged and almost being declared as a ‘total lost’ case. I was really mad at my brother, but Thanks God..He was just got a minor injured on his face. The car was sent to workshop in Kota Kinabalu and took 8 months to be repaired. Again, I have no choice but just waiting, waiting and waiting until it was fully repaired on July 2006. Fellow friends, I still remember how happy we were during that time.. I was driving my friend’s car when I got the good news and together with me during that moment were my brother and sister. We were so happy and almost crying. We dropped by at the sea side and shouting…telling the blue sky and the sea how happy we were…

After the incident, my car always broke down. Sometimes I was stuck at the Tamparuli roads or on my way to Papar even when I was away for my Industrial Training supervision in Kudat. The car gave me headache almost every month. I was so despaired and tried to solve the problem by selling the car. And the real nightmare started here. It was a long story. It was my fault, my rushing action and was the worst action that I ever made after 26 years old living. It was my mistakes to trust people easily and finally leading me to this problem. When I struggled to bear the existing problem, when I started to feel proud of myself for being so strong all this while at last, I failed! I failed to take care of my own car. I had lost my car on August 2007 2 years ago. I was overwhelmed and helpless. I can’t stop blaming myself because of that. Of course, we’ve tried to trace the car but it was destined to end up like that. I can’t stop crying, regretting why must me not someone else? After few weeks, I manage to recovered from the sadness and accepting the fact. I understood that, everything happens for a reason. I remember, one of my friends told me that whatever happened, look at the brighter side and you’ll feel some relief. It gave me a precious lesson for not to simply trust people even though they’re one of the closest friend and I learned how to be more perseverance.

I would like to share with this inspiring words.. There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need the money, love like you've never been hurt and dance like no one's watching. And as you can see, I’m still here just to prove that no one can stop me to grab my happiness. So, live life to the fullest..

Do we really need encouragement?

Do we really need encouragement?
If we do, why we need it? Considered these three reasons why encouragement words are necessity in our daily life.

1. No one can finish the race alone

We all need encouragement. The load of life is just too heavy to carry on by our own. That’s why we have family, friends and relatives who can come to lift us up in our discouragement and despair. We cannot live the life on our strength. Apart from encouragement, we will get burned out as our work and service goes unnoticed and unappreciated. Imagine, you’re participating in a race and you’re at second last position but still trying sluggishly approaching the finish line. Suddenly, you heard your father shouting, “Oh son!! You’re at the 2nd last position. Why don’t you quit?!? Stupid! Idiot! I wonder why you contending for this race.” How do you feel? Without encouragement you’ll get frustrated and get discouraged with you growth and will lost perspective about your mission and goal to achieve in that competition. That’s why we need encouragement, not to win the race but at least to complete it.

2. Lead to a positive thinking

Life is like a rollercoaster. There is always ups and downs occurred somewhere in our journey. When big hiccups arise, we tend to give up easily. We blame ourselves for the mistakes we’ve done or blaming someone else to vent dissatisfaction. The words of encouragement will lead us to think positively and teaches us to look at the brighter side. Last 2 years, in the month of October, my mother had an infection inside her ovary. After the diagnosis, the doctor say she have to be operated to avoid the infection spreading to the other organ. I was so worried and under stressed. I became to think negatively about the consequences after the operation. Thank God, I have friends who were being there by my side to comfort me and give me words of encouragement. Their present and their encouragement words has made a huge different in me. I managed to control my sadness and was able to bear in mind that everything will be all right. This is very important, because if I cannot comfort myself, how I am going to comfort my ailing mother.

3. Sharing the ideas of life

Life is a long journey and so many paths to choose of. Whether we’re choosing a right path depends on how frequent we made mistakes and how do we improve from that. Great encouragement can be given through our personal experiences as people living in similar circumstances. Sometimes, we’re encouraged based on our friend’s life story or our teacher’s personal experiences. Their stories guided us to run our life better ahead. Who knows we’ll encounter the same conflict or dilemma in life. At least, we’re not lost. We shared the idea of life for the goodness.
A group of frogs were traveling through the woods and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowds of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, “Did you not hear us?” The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.

It is sometime hard to understand that encouraging words can go such a long way. But when we gaze into it deeply, it gave us two lessons.

1. There is power of life and death in a tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them to make it through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill them.

We need to realize that words are like surgeon’s knife. When it is placed in the wrong hands and used carelessly, words can bring death. However, when words are place in right hand and used carefully, they can bring healing, life and restoration. So be carefully of what you say!

We Can. Therefore, We Will

An old adage says, you fell in love with someone at your first sight. It’s true and I believe most of us here might have been experience it but it is not necessarily we end up that relationship with marriage. Along the journey we try to know each other closer. If we’re meant to each other, then the relationships will certainly heading to marriage life.

I remember this story, a man kept on collecting cockles in the beach and throwing it away into the sea. Another man approached him and says, “There are thousands of cockles here, how you’re going to return them all to their place?” The other man smiled and answered, “At least, I’ve make a different to this one…” and continued throwing the cockles in his palm.

Therefore, let’s realize our potential and strive to be better. Anything is possible if we bear in mind, “WE CAN. THEREFORE WE WILL”
